Submissions are Open open for the 2016 Toronto Independent Film Festival.

Submission Deadlines

The Toronto Independent Film Festival accepts Submissions from any country.

Early Submissions Period -- Sept 29, 2015 to Jan 16, 2016
Early Submissions Deadline -- January 16

Regular Submissions Period -- Jan 16 to April 15
Regular Submissions Deadline -- April 17

Late Submissions Period -- April 16 to July 8
Late Submissions Deadline -- July 8


All filmmakers will be notified before August 5

Festival Categories

The Toronto Independent Film Festival is open to international films in one of the following categories:

Feature Film (budget over $250k USD)
Micro-budget Feature (budget under $250k USD)
No-Budget Feature (budget under $25k USD)
Documentary Feature
Female Director Feature
LGBT film
Short Film
Short Documentary
Animated Short 
Experimental Short
Horror / Sci-Fi Short
Short Short (under 5 minutes)
Music Video

Screenplay Award categories:
Feature Screenplay
Sci-Fi / Horror Screenplay

Entry Fees

All entries must be shipped prepaid, fees are in $ USD

Fees for feature films are $75 early, $80 regular, $85 late . 
Fees for short films are $45 early, $50 regular, $55 late.
Music videos & short shorts are $30 early, $35 regular, $40 late

Fees for feature scripts are $45 early, $50 regular, $55 late.
